On a very windy afternoon, Terenure won the toss and elected to bat. DLR bowlers created havoc with swing and pace and at one stage Terenure were 6 down for just 45 runs. Sanket was the pick of the bowler well supported by Ghanshyam and Binson. Sanket and Ghanshyam got 3 wickets each while the spinners, Jithin and Vivek got one each. Terenure with some late hitting from Andrew Thompson, managed to reach 103 in 31.5 overs.
With wind still blowing at around 40 Kms/h, DLR started the chase. Due to the conditions, batting was not easy at all and DLR were struggling with 2 wickets down for just 13 runs. Then there was a brief partnership of 24 runs between Medwin and Vivek. Medwin got out after making 21. Vivek continued the build up process with Alex and added another 37 runs. Vivek was out for 12 and soon after Alex got out for 20. The score was reading 78 when Ghanshyam joined Joseph and they added quick 23 runs before Ghanshyam got out after making 15. Arjun joined Joseph and scored the winning runs.
It was a good match on a difficult playing conditions, but after all cricket is also about playing the conditions :)
